In industrial systems equipped with electric motors, energy efficiency is an increasingly central objective. One initial approach is to use motors with higher efficiency, such as permanent magnet synchronous motors, which are particularly suitable for many motion control applications characterized by limited torque requirements.<\/p>\n

A second area for improvement concerns the inverter, where the evolution of electronic components, from IGBT and MOSFET devices to SiC components and next-generation microcontrollers, enables the development of increasingly high-performance solutions and advanced control techniques.<\/p>\n

In the design of the RID20-E<\/a>, Robox also chose to pursue a third approach: DC power supply. Compared to AC power supply<\/strong>, this choice makes it possible to concentrate AC\/DC conversion in a single device and to use energy more efficiently within multi-motor systems.<\/p>\n

In a multi-axis application, motors delivering torque and motors absorbing torque may in fact coexist. Having a common DC bus makes it possible to optimize energy management between the drives, helping to reduce waste and improve the overall efficiency of the system.<\/p>\n

A significant example is represented by automatic lines powered by a single DC power supply, a solution that can provide significant advantages in terms of energy savings, architecture simplification, and wiring rationalization.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The RID20-E<\/a> was developed precisely to meet these requirements. Powered by DC voltage ranging from 200 to 750 V, it can be integrated directly on the brushless motor or installed in close proximity to the motor in the nearby RID20-E IP67<\/a> and RID20-IE IP20<\/a> versions.<\/p>\n

Thanks to its motor-mounted integration capability, high efficiency, and reduced footprint and wiring, the RID20-E is particularly suitable for multi-axis applications where compactness, reliability, and performance are key requirements.<\/strong><\/p>\n
