Stable synchronization must be guaranteed, parameterized across the various recipes, and managed independently of the line speed. <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This is where a traditional PLC reaches the limits of its resources, and PACs come into play: a Programmable Automation Controller such as Robox <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/en\/?attachment_id=20621\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"19965\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RP-3<\/a> can manage motion cams and digital cams, which are useful for controlling valves or pulse-driven devices; it can manage complex master\/slave systems and control everything at high frequency, even beyond 1 kHz.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"From_PLC_to_PAC_when_beverage_machines_need_more_control\"><\/span>From PLC to PAC: when beverage machines need more control<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The PAC takes on the role of the machine\u2019s central node, coordinating axes, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/en\/products\/local-remote-io-expansion-board\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/prodotti\/local-remote-io-expansion-board\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">I\/O expansion modules<\/a>, diagnostics, and field communications based on EtherCAT and Gigabit Ethernet. For the OEM, this means managing different modules, from transport to filling and up to robotics: interpolation of coordinated axes and direct and inverse conversions of kinematic models, from the most common ones such as SCARA and delta, through to custom user-defined models for special mechanisms; all with a common logic that is scalable and reusable across multiple machine variants. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Servo_drives_and_motion_control\"><\/span>Servo drives and motion control<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The servo section, on the other hand, determines process repeatability. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/en\/product\/digitax-hd-m753\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"17752\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Digitax M753 drive<\/a>, in a centralized configuration, enables complex motion profiles, accelerations, and decelerations to be controlled without introducing vibrations during critical transfer and dosing phases. Where reduced wiring and minimal footprint are key, the distributed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/en\/product\/rmd\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"18346\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RMD (Robox Motor Drive)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/en\/tag-prodotto\/rid20-e\/\" data-type=\"product_tag\" data-id=\"727\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RID20-E<\/a> solutions bring control closer to the actuators, simplifying installation, the electrical cabinet, and commissioning.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Motion_control_in_filling\"><\/span>Motion control in filling<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In filling, motion becomes part of the process: container feeding must be synchronized with valve opening, pump control, flow rate, and pressure. More consistent control reduces foaming, overdosing, rejects, rework, and energy consumption, especially on lines subject to frequent format changes. <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Software_simulation_and_diagnostics_to_reduce_time-to-market\"><\/span>Software, simulation, and diagnostics to reduce time-to-market<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Software completes the architecture.
