class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Validation_objective\"><\/span>Validation objective<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p>The testing activities were focused on:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Verification of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ethercat.org\/it\/technology.html\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.ethercat.org\/it\/technology.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EtherCAT<\/a> interoperability between controller and drives<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Validation of DS402 state machine management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Testing of cyclic operating modes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Verification of digital signal handling<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Test of interpolated axis synchronization<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The objective is to ensure a robust and replicable integration in real industrial applications.<\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Test_configuration\"><\/span>Test configuration<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p>Hardware involved:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/en\/products\/pac-programmable-motion-controllers-2\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"5273\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ROBOX Motion Controller<\/a> (master EtherCAT)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Servo drives <a href=\"https:\/\/en.tsino-dynatron.com\/cp_xqy?pId=17\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/en.tsino-dynatron.com\/cp_xqy?pId=17\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">TSINO DYNATRON S7<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Multi-axis management with interpolated control<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Topology:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>EtherCAT architecture with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/en\/product\/rp-2-as1018-002-as1018-003-as1018-012\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"15589\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RP-2<\/a> acting as master<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Import of XML files from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/en\/product\/rde-robox-development-environment\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"15578\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RDE3 environment <\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Validated_operating_modes\"><\/span>Validated operating modes<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p>During the Plug-Fest, the following functionalities were successfully validated:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>XML reading from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/en\/product\/rde-robox-development-environment\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"15578\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">RDE3<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CSP mode (Cyclic Synchronous Position)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CSV mode (Cyclic Synchronous Velocity)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>DS402 state machine management<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Digital input reading<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Interpolated axis motion managed by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.robox.it\/en\/product\/rp-2-as1018-002-as1018-003-as1018-012\/\" data-type=\"product\" data-id=\"15589\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">EtherCAT RP-2 master <\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>POWER-SET operation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Results_achieved\"><\/span>Results achieved<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n<p>The tests confirmed:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Stable and deterministic EtherCAT communication<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Proper multi-axis synchronization<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Reliable management of state transitions and fault conditions<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rapid commissioning through automatic XML file import<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full operability of advanced motion functions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>The integration proved seamless, with no need for custom developments or specific software adaptations.<\/p>\n\n<p>The validation of the integration between ROBOX Motion Controllers and TSINO DYNATRON S7 servo drives allows a significant reduction of the technical risk during design and commissioning.
