Modular architecture motion controllers
The main advantage offered by modular architectures is the possibility to perfectly fit the hardware to the application.

Stand-alone motion controllers
Stand-alone NC's offer the user a set of standard resources (controlled axes, inputs, outputs, serial channels, etc.) which, following Robox's expertise, represent a least common multiple for a variety of motion control applications. The main advantages of stand-alone architectures are the following:
  • optimum performance/cost ratio
  • minimum overall dimensions
  • ease of servicing by replacing the complete NC
  • high noise rejection.
Their disadvantages are striclty related to the stand-alone architecture, but they are easily bypassed connecting to their synchronous and asynchronous serial ports the required additional resources.

Expansion boards for stand-alone NC's
They increase the capabilities, particularly I/O capabilities, of stand-alone NC's

Programming/operator interface devices
The allow remote interfacing to the Robox NC's

Electronic controllers for inertial guided vehicles
The vehicle is controlled by a gyroscope able to measure its rotations around its vertical axis. Communication with the supervisor PC is obtained via radio.
The movement is controlled by the RBXM or RBXE motion controllers (see the page Products - Hardware)
